RSO Young Artist Competition

The Racine Symphony Orchestra is pleased to extend an invitation for their 2018 Young Artists’ Competition taking place on Saturday, February 10, 2018 1:00 pm, at Carthage College, Sibert Chapel, 2001 Alford Park Drive in Kenosha. Potawatomi Hotel and Casino’s Heart of Canal Street Program is the primary sponsor of this project. Woodman’s Markets is also a sponsor. This Competition is for instrumental and piano students in grades 9 through 12 and home school students in the equivalent grades. The First, Second, and Third place winners will receive cash prize scholarships. The winner of the competition will perform with the Orchestra at the April 22, 2018 Masterworks Concert. This year’s Competition is open to students residing in Racine and Kenosha Counties, as well as current students studying with Racine Symphony Orchestra member musicians.
We ask that you use or share this information with your friends, colleagues, music teachers or instructors, specifically students’ grades in 9 through 12 studying string instruments, wind, brass, percussion and piano. The 2018 Young Artists’ Competition application must include the competition fee, completed application and be postmarked no later than Friday, January 12, 2018 to be considered.
